. 1) WIESBADEN – In 2015, 49.500 children, young people and young adults were placed in residential care or in supported housing. As reported by the Destatis, this was an increase of 25% from a year earlier. The relevant number of boys and young men rose by 46% to 32,800. The proportion accounted for by boys and young men with a migrant background increased to 62% from just under 40% in 2014.
WIESBADEN – As reported by the Destatis, the construction of a total of 308,700 dwellings was permitted in Germany from January–October 2016. Compared with the corresponding period of 2015 this is an increase of 23.4% or 58,500 dwellings.
